USITT "Ideal Theatre"
Student Design Competition 2010
University Architectural and Theatre Students from around the world are invited to take part in the fourth annual United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT) "Ideal Theatre" Student Design Competition. This competition has established itself as the only International Design Competition that brings together the "client user" and the "designer" to explore the possibilities of what a theatre can be.
The competition runs from 4 September 2009 to 19 January 2010. A professional jury will select three Honor Awards in February 2010. The Honor Award winning teams will be invited to the 2010 USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo, in Kansas City, Missouri, 31 March - 3 April 2010 to present their entries to the Architectural Commission. All submissions will be on exhibit at the Conference.
